Martina Duncan, Assistant Director at the Council, works primarily with the Teacher programs, serving educators of students ages 0 - 18. Born and raised in Yarmouth, Maine, she graduated from Bowdoin College in 1997 and, after teaching Pre- K through 8th grade on Nantucket Island, earned a Master’s Degree in American and New England Studies from USM in 2002. For two and a half years, Martina was the Executive Director at the Portland Harbor Museum, which explores, celebrates and shares the unique heritage of Portland’s waterfront. Most recently she was the Director of Community Chamber Partnerships for the Portland Regional Chamber. Martina, her husband, Roger, and daughter Julianna, enjoy sailing, hiking and reading.
