Annie Medeiros recently graduated with a BA from the University of New Hampshire, where she studied Women’s Studies with an emphasis in Queer Studies. Annie was an active advocate for ending sexual violence and domestic abuse, while also trying to bring support for these issues into the GLBT community. A Connecticut native, Annie spent six years in New Hampshire before moving to Maine and is excited to be in the “Big City” of Portland. Her duties at the Council include supervising the Community Seminars and Letters About Literature program, plus administrative support for Literature & Medicine and several other programs. Annie is an avid reader. She also enjoys sewing, knitting, painting and an overall Do-It-Yourself attitude.
