COUNCIL TRANSITIONS DURING 2003
We thank William Knowles for his 8 years of dedicated
service to the board of the Humanities Council. Three new
board members joined the Council during 2003: Charles B.
Alexander of Ellsworth; Mary Anne Alhadeff of Old Orchard
Beach; Patricia D. Ramsay of Yarmouth.
Maine Humanities Council board members represent the geographic,
occupational, ethnic, and academic diversity of the state
and serve as volunteers to conduct the business of the Council.
Nominations are welcome at any time to fill vacancies that
occur annually.
