The USM Art Gallery exhibit “Off the Grid: Maine Vernacular Ernironments” and its related catalog and symposium will explore four Maine self-taught art environments and the aesthetic and social issues they raise.

The library has recently begun a new program called Hands On PAH to make the library more accessible to the local deaf community. Peter Cook, a nationally known ASL storyteller, will present a workshop and performance for deaf and hearing members of the community.
