  • Haircuts for the Woolseys by Tomie De Paola. (1989) Ages 0-4
  • In spring the Woolseys, a family of sheep, get their hair cut, but when an unexpected snow storm hits, their grandma has to do some quick knitting.
  • Hairdo! What We Do and Did to Our Hair by Ruth Freeman Swain. Pictures by Cat Bowman Smith. (2002) Ages 4-8
  • Depicts how people have viewed, worn, and changed their hairstyles throughout history and in various cultures. Written by a Maine author.
