Local cultural institutions – libraries, museums, historical societies and others – are at the heart of community life in Maine, and these organizations will play an essential role as our cities and towns seek to emerge from the pandemic and create the “new normal”. The Maine Humanities Council is proud to support the energy, creativity, and grit of organizations around the state who are using the humanities to make positive change, strengthen our communities, and improve life here for everyone.
