Lizz Sinclair has worked the Maine Humanities Council since 1999, first as a Program Officer and now as Director of Programs. In this role she works closely with staff and community organizations in developing collaborative partnerships and programs helping MHC fulfill its mission. Before working with the Council she served as Director for the Maine College of Art’s former Art in Service program and worked with people ages 3-80+ as a teacher for community arts organizations and public schools. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Mount Holyoke College, where she majored in history and minored in theater design, and has studied painting at the Maine College of Art and education at the University of Southern Maine. Growing up in a rural Maine town fostered a deep love of the state and the people in it. She loves many other things, too, including camping, dingoes, working in her studio, and listening to the Red Sox.
