Meghan Reedy grew up in South Africa and the Pacific Northwest, and has lived in Boston, Texas, England, and, most recently, Pennsylvania. A graduate of Whitman College, she worked happily as a bookseller in between stints at graduate school. She holds an M.A. from the University of Durham and a D.Phil. from Oxford University, and spent several years teaching Latin and Greek at a small liberal arts college before joining the MHC. Her abiding fascination is with people and communities and the cultures we create through our everyday lives. Among other things she thinks a lot about how textiles and clothing get made and worn and usually has a knitting / sewing / weaving project on the go—and loves working on them in company with others … when she isn’t reading or writing.
