Read. Be inspired. Write back.

The Online Submission Portal is now OPEN!

This year, the Library of Congress is rolling out a brand new way to submit student letters. Entries will be made online through Submittable, an electronic submission platform. Letters can be entered in batches by teachers or by individual students. Watch this video walkthrough to see how the process works. When you are ready to submit, just follow this link to begin.

(Please read the full contest rules before entering. Note that all students under 13 before 11/1/18 must upload a signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian to be eligible for entry.)

Letters About Literature is an annual, national reading and writing program offered by the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress.
