Bucksport, Maine, USA–Thanks to a generous grant from the Maine Humanities Council, Northeast Historic Film (NHF) has installed a new digital marquee at the Alamo Theatre, the community cinema owned and operated by NHF. The new marquee will allow NHF to properly promote all the events that take place at the theatre each week. In addition to contemporary movies on weekends (we recently added a late show on Friday and Saturday nights!) we host lectures, live music, community events, and more.

The final message on the old marquee was to announce the upcoming wedding of Karin Carlson and Joe Snider. Karin works as Vault Manager at NHF and they will be married next fall. The first message on the new marquee will announce this weekend’s movie, “Spectre” the new James Bond film starring Daniel Craig.

NHF and the Alamo Theatre are at the heart of Bucksport’s revitalization efforts and are pleased to help light up downtown Bucksport.
