How does the application process work?

Step 1

Choose your application format from the options below–any one of these is fine.

Prezi/PowerPoint/Keynote Prezi/PowerPoint/Keynote Between 15 and 25 slides
Essay Essay Between 750-1000 words
Website Website
  • Between 1-5 pages
  • Unlimited animated gifs and/or jpgs
  • No more than one embedded multimedia element
movie Movie Between 3-5 minutes long
Graphic novel/comic Graphic novel Between 5 – 10 one-sided pages (color or black-and-white

Step 2

Feminist Project studentsAnswer the following questions in your application:

  • Who are you?
  • Tell us about your community.
  • What does community mean to you?
  • What do the humanities mean to you?
  • What about this project interests you—why do you want to apply?

Send your application to MHC!

What is the deadline?

March 31, 2016

What happens after I send in my application?

A committee will review all applications and choose our individuals or teams in April. If you are selected, MHC will visit your school to award you the Ambassadorship before the end of this school year. We will meet with you once over the summer, then in the 2016-17 school year, you’ll meet with MHC regularly to plan your project, which will take place in spring 2017.
