Dan Dinsmore

Executive Director, Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting

An award-winning journalist with 25 years of media experience, Dan Dinsmore is Executive Director of the Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting and Editor of Pine Tree Watch, the Center’s nonprofit, nonpartisan news services.

Dan has been an editor at newspapers in California, Wisconsin and Maine. During his time in Maine, Dan was the Assistant Managing Editor in charge of Sports at the Portland Press Herald, Portfolio Diversification Manager for Blethen Maine Newspapers and Executive Director at Maine Today. Dan has also spent time in business-to-business media as Vice President of Media Operations for the Healthcare Informatics Management Systems Society. Dan lives in Casco with his wife, four children, and four dogs.
